Divorce Law
Connecticut allows no fault divorce, divorce
based on incompatibility and voluntary separation for 18 months with
no reasonable expectation of reconciliation. You must have lived in
the state for 12 months to obtain a divorce. Generally a dissolution
of marriage will take 90 days.
